Technology
At Kumorion, utilising the best open-source tools is key to delivering top-quality cloud infrastructure solutions. That’s why we use a range of tools for infrastructure automation and devops, including Kubernetes, Ansible, AWX, Terraform, Vault and Prometheus. These tools allow us to automate many common tasks, improve the reliability and scalability of our environments and monitor deployments.
In today’s world, modern software systems need to be able to efficiently move, transform, cache and store data. Kumorion has years of experience in deploying and coordinating the use of specialised software and technologies to support this.
Data movement can be facilitated by products such as Kafka and NATS, which are designed to provide high-throughput, low-latency messaging between distributed systems. Data transformation can be handled by tools such as Logstash and Kafka Streams, which allow data to be processed and transformed in real time.
Caching is another important aspect of modern software systems, and tools such as Redis can help to improve the performance and scalability of these systems by storing frequently accessed data in memory. Finally, data storage and indexing is critical for many applications, and data stores such as Cassandra, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and OpenSearch can help to efficiently store and index large volumes of data.
Other components and tools are also needed for highly available distributed application deployments such as load-balancers, API gateways, image build tools and registries, service meshes, job schedulers, logging/monitoring/tracing and alerting systems – all of these have their roles in the environments that we work on.
